Patricia Daly from Co Armagh, N.Ireland is an Irish Celtic harp musician and folk singer who has grown into a true artist and whose influence continues to live in ancient Celtic folklore and Irish traditional music. She has made a significant contribution to the development of the Irish harp music in the Ulster area, and continues to be an ambassador for the instrument globally. Founding member of Armagh Harpers’ Association, main organiser and instigator of the Edward Bunting Harp Festival she has played a central role in raising an awareness of interest in the revival of the Irish harp. Among all of this she continues to successfully teach & perform to the corporate and traditional folk industries throughout Europe and North USA. Senior all-Ireland harping championship title, with a reputation that goes well beyond Ireland’s shores, Patricia Daly, is primarily known for her subtle and varied harp repertoire displaying all the skills acquired over several decades of researching arranging and playing traditional Irish music. Her 2008/2009 ‘Major Individual Artist award’ has enabled her to launch a new innovative show piece and teaching booklet' Sunrise on Vicars’ Hill’’ at this years 10th aniversary Edward Bunting Harp Festival (May 2010) thus taking her career to further new heights.
Finally her latest CD produced by Tom Newman of ‘Tubular Bells’ which absolutely glistens with quality highlighting both new and existing material is due for release later in the year.
